Happy Voting Day

You know what the best thing about today is?

No more campaign ads! Woo-hoo!

I despise political campaigns. They're often negative and smarmy and nobody actually says anything real. In the end I often don't feel like I want to vote for anybody because I'm so annoyed by everybody.

So for all legal-aged citizens of the US, let's get out there and VOTE, and make this day count. You are important to our country, so make your opinion known.
(and make sure you wear your 'I Voted' sticker so the pushy, judgmental people won't harass you the rest of the day)

P.S. - Good luck to all you NaNo'ers (the writers, revisers, and the readers). I'm rooting for ya!

Yay! I am SO glad my mailbox will not be filled each day from now on with idiotic schoolyard insults printed in gigantic letters on giant, shiny sheets of cardstock.

I voted against all the people who sent me the most stupid ads.

:D

I'm glad the robo-political calls will stop too! Gee, I just came from the poll. I didn't get an I voted sticker )-:

I've managed to avoid a lot of the garbage, but I know my friend who is a political reporter will be vastly relieved that the election is over.

I'm so with you on the political ads. Have a great day!

LOL, I agree! The commercials are so petty, and nothing they say is true anyway. I read articles in Time and Newsweek that explained the truths of those ads. It's amazing how the candidates can get away with saying such misleading and exaggerated things about the opposition (and themselves!). I can't wait to check my mailbox today because there won't be any annoying mail (hopefully). YAY!

No more flyers, no more phonecalls, no more TV ads... or wait... when does the next lot start.

Good luck NaNoers.

Was this year the worst ever? How many trees died so we could read insults. Yep, thank goodness it's over...but thank goodness we get to live through it too.

All I can say is we are FREE AT LAST! No more ads killing tons of trees. I collected so many ads that I was able to pepper my garage floor with them and spray paint a dresser. My garage has never been cleaner! I am so glad I voted!

Yay, I voted. No more gigantic flyers in the mail.

Yes! If the campaigning was actual campaigning all the time, and not, "Look at their representative, now look at me..." it might be better
